I'm looking forward to seeing all the great rompers this week!!!  Here's what I made for our celebration!

I hope you've seen the announcement that Heidi from Elegance & Elephants is offering this pattern for free?  You have to check it out >>here<<!

I found this awesome fabric in the red tag section at JoAnn's and knew it would drape really well for the romper!  The only negative I had working with the fabric was how horrible the fraying was!  Since I normally don't work with silkier apparel fabrics I'm not used to proper techniques for managing the raveling.  I have a lot to learn!!!
I just love how this looks on my little girl!  She is so much fun and was able to get around just fine in the romper - It's a great playsuit!

The lining I used for the pocket lining and facing was some of the Sarah Jane Out to Sea fabric.  You can see a little peek of it in this picture!  I am so glad that nautical is popular right now in children's clothes!  I love nautical prints and shapes!  In fact, I'm sewing some sailor shorts right now for the Peek-a-Boo summer blog tour coming next week!

I can't wait to see what you've come up with for Romper Week!  Add your link below and don't forget to enter the giveaway!!!  Come back tomorrow to see what Amy makes!

    1. Try linking to a blog or flickr picture - I think etsy links must be blocked? I just ran a test link and it works! Or, try another browser?

  7. I've been waiting for your series, loving rompers this summer. Your pleated playsuit is so sweet. I worked with something that unraveled like crazy recently- super frustrating. Your finished product is great so worth the extra work!
